  Came across The Chess Store through a discount code and ended up staying a customer. The quality is noticeably better than the photos suggested. Kept the kids busy for far longer than I expected. Beats the bigger sites on both service and price.

  Reasonable pricing and they are upfront about shipping costs. Batteries were included, which saved a trip out. Nothing I would change about the experience.

  “Better than expected”
  The sale price was genuinely a sale price, not an inflated markdown. Took about a week to reach me, which is fair for international. They replied on a weekend, which I did not expect. Age guidance on the box was about right. Nice to find a shop that does the basics properly.

  “Worth the money”
  Ordered from The Chess Store for the first time and it went better than I expected. The parcel turned up intact despite the courier clearly throwing it around. Paid less than I budgeted for, which never happens. They have earned a spot in my bookmarks.

  “Would order again”
  They followed up after delivery to check everything was fine. Sizing was accurate, I went with my usual and it fits. Delivery was on time and I got tracking updates the whole way. Age guidance on the box was about right.
