Best Buy has published its full 2026 holiday calendar, and Black Friday there is not one day but a season. DoorBOOsters start October 30, early Black Friday deals begin November 6, the main Black Friday doorbusters run for 10 days from November 19, and Cyber Week deals follow from December 1 to 6. Best Buy Black Friday 2026 Dates

Best Buy stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, but deals stay live on BestBuy.com and in the Best Buy app. Extended store hours start November 1, so check your local store page before you go.

My Best Buy Memberships: Are They Worth It for Black Friday?

Best Buy now has three membership levels, and the paid ones get extra value during the holidays.

From November 19 to December 6, Plus and Total members earn double rewards, which works out to 2% back on qualifying purchases. Members must be signed in to their account before they buy. Points usually post two to three weeks later, and purchases such as gift cards, taxes, shipping fees and phones bought on AT&T or Verizon monthly installment plans do not count. Members also get a longer holiday return window, as explained below.

At $29.99 a year, Plus can pay for itself on a single TV or laptop purchase once you add the free two-day shipping, member prices and extra return time.

What Best Buy Black Friday Deals Looked Like in 2025

Best Buy's main Black Friday sale started on November 20 last year, after weeks of early deals. These were some of its Black Friday prices in 2025, which show the kind of savings to expect:

The pattern is clear. OLED TVs, last year's laptops and noise-cancelling headphones from the previous generation get the deepest cuts, often about 40% to 60% off. Brand-new products, such as the latest iPhone or a console that just launched, rarely drop by much.

What to Expect at Best Buy in 2026

• TVs. Best Buy is featuring new RGB LED TVs this season, and OLED models from LG, Samsung and Sony are usually among the biggest Black Friday markdowns.
• Laptops and PCs. Expect deals on MacBooks, Windows laptops and new Googlebooks, plus gaming PCs with NVIDIA graphics.
• Gaming. Best Buy is highlighting big new releases such as Grand Theft Auto VI, so console bundles and accessories are likely to be popular.
• Wearables and smart glasses. Best Buy's holiday line-up includes Meta smart glasses and the Oura Ring 5.
• Headphones and small appliances. AirPods, Sony and Bose headphones, and kitchen brands such as Ninja are regular Black Friday doorbusters.

Best Buy Price Match Rules During Black Friday

Best Buy normally matches the prices of 19 major competitors, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco and Apple. During the holidays the rules change:

• No competitor matching over Black Friday. Best Buy does not match competitors' prices from the Thursday before Thanksgiving through the Monday after, which in 2026 is November 19 to 30.
• Its own price drops are covered. Best Buy's Holiday Price Match Guarantee means that if a product sold by Best Buy drops in price during the holiday season, Best Buy will match its own lower price. Marketplace products and limited-quantity deals are excluded.

That makes it fairly safe to buy from Best Buy's early Black Friday sales in November. If the same product gets cheaper at Best Buy later, you can ask for the difference.

Holiday Returns

Most purchases made from October 30 to December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 15, 2027. My Best Buy Plus and Total members get until January 31, 2027. Some products, such as phones and opened items in certain categories, can have shorter windows or a restocking fee, so check the details at checkout.

Best Buy vs Other Stores on Black Friday

Best Buy is the main specialist for electronics, with expert help in store and a strong holiday price-match guarantee on its own prices. Walmart runs its early Black Friday deals from November 12 to 15 and often has lower prices on budget TVs and basics, Target holds an early Black Friday sale from November 5 to 7, and Amazon usually discounts its own devices most heavily.
